The FDI Configuration Manager provides system configuration and SQL database services to the FDI System.

The FDI Configuration Module provides a database system with a web based graphical user interface. Authorized users configure and manage the system from any web browser

All components of the SmartCAM System (servers, viewers, cameras) can be managed from the configuration manager. The system administrator can add and configure SmartCAMs, SmartViewers and other peripheral devices and, in addition, configure the hard disk storage parameters and manage users of the system.

The configuration system allows the administrator to set up and connect events to devices such as motion sensors and access control systems. Events are recorded in the event database and can be reviewed and controlled in the SmartViewer.

The Configuration Module provides event support:

• High performance SQL database records alarms and alerts events (motion detection, officer watch log, etc)
• Multi-language support: database contents displayed in any available language
• Event records may be made available over Internet via VPN.
• SQL network interface allows easy integration with third party tools
